2010 calendar

The much awaited Happy Landings 'ex-rescue animals' calendar is now ready. A selection of some of the lucky ones who over the years have been given that second chance, all with their own special story to tell. A second chance but never second best!
Only £5.00 each, so if you haven't a clue what to get Auntie for a Christmas present then this is it!!

Dobbies garden centre

A BIG Thankyou to Dobbies Garden centre in Shepton for choosing us as one of their charities to support on their santas grotto opening day. We had a great day at the centre, where we took a few of our animals. All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Also thankyou to our supporters that came to visit us on the day.
We even got to go and see Santa with one of our rescue dogs!!!

Honey pot pre-school talk

The children got to meet our ferret and hen

Donations kindly brought in by the children

We went to the Honeypot pre-school in yeovil to tell them about our work at the shelter. We took along one of our ferrets 'Little Bear' and a hen. The children were really good sitting quietly as we told them about the animals and the work of Happy Landings. They were excited to meet Little bear and the hen and find out more about them.
The pre-school staff had been collecting donations from the parents and children for us to bring back to Happy Landings.
We had a lovely morning at honeypot and would like to thank them all for making us feel welcome. And a big thankyou from our animals for all the lovely donations.

Open Day and Fun Dog Show

Fancy Dress

It was our annual Open Day on September 13th and We hope that all of you that were able to make it enjoyed the day. It is always a pleasure to make new acquaintances but it's a real privilege to see friends and ex rescues who have been fortunate to find that special home. There was a fantastic turn out and over £1900 was raised; money which goes directly to help the animals in our care.
Thank you to all who attended but a huge thanks to Valerie Singleton for opening the day, all who sponsored, judged, or volunteered.
Look out for results and photos in our next newsletter.
