Jake is a 3.5 year old Jack Russell – we suspect crossed with a Patterdale. He has sadly had to come to us for re-homing as he did not cope well with the arrival of a new baby in the home.
Jake has been in the same home since a puppy and been a much loved pet, so kennels has been a bit of a shock to him! He is naturally full of beans, loves his walks, loves a paddle, loves to travel to new places to explore. He loves toys too, and likes to carry them off with him. He loves a duvet that he can nest in, making him feel safe and snug. He is a little lap dog once he has had a good walk and loves a snuggle on the sofa.
Jake has some basic obedience and would love to learn more. He can be a bit “keen” to start with when walking on lead, but is improving with this. He is desperate to do everything at a million miles an hour, but we are working with him to help him slow down a little and he is responding well. Jake is good with most dogs that he meets and does not mind being left for a few hours so would be fine with someone who works part time.
Jake would suit an adult household with previous terrier experience. He needs an active home that will enjoy getting out walking with him, sharing adventures and going to new places. He would be happiest as the only pet, happy to socialise and have some regular doggy friends out and about. He is not suitable to live with cats or other small animals.
