Leo is a 2 year old Bichon x Shitzu. He is very much loved, but is not coping well having to spend more time at home on his own, so his family have very reluctantly decided that Leo would be happier in a new home better able to meet his needs.
Leo is fun loving and active, a strong bonder and extremely loyal. He has been well trained and, as a clever boy, has a good range of commands which he is only too happy to follow. He is good both on and off-lead and really enjoys meeting new doggy friends. He is not a fan of cats…or pigeons! and can be vocal if he sees strangers passing by the house. He has not had much practice travelling and tends to be a bit restless, but we feel that this is something that could easily be worked on with Leo.
Leo does also have a sensitive side and can be nervous around new people and in new situations. He can be a bit of a worrier which is one of the reasons he is not coping having to stay at home on his own. He would love to be in an active and caring home, ideally with another dog for company. He could be happy to be at home for up to 4 hours with a slow introduction to this, especially with another dog. He would not be happy with people who work full time. He has been used to living with children of 7 years +
Because Leo is so sensitive he is staying in his original home until we can find him a new one so viewings must be by prior arrangement.
